Jeremy & Kat Willet’s Urgent Africa Adoption Request

Hello friends!

We are sitting in a small guest house in Accra, Ghana in West Africa. As many of you know, we started the process of adopting a child from Africa over 2 years ago. Well, today, we are literally sitting with our 8 month old son, Evans! In fact – he just learned how to crawl, so he is currently on the floor chasing my empty water bottle and laughing.

We are writing today because we have 2 very important requests:

1. We are unable to legally share all the details concerning the urgency behind this request, but it is absolutely imperative that we receive a court date here in Ghana before April 29th (this date is also our 7th year wedding anniversary!) We are taking a small plane up North to Bulga (where Evans was born) on Monday morning and will be spending a week in rural Ghana. While in Bulga, we will be signing the necessary court papers, and awaiting an actual court date. My suit is packed, Kat has a pretty dress, and we got Evans some sweet shoes for court. Pray, Pray, Pray for the court date, and that we pass without any complications.

2. As you can imagine, international adoption comes with a large financial commitment. So far, our friends and family have generously provided our family with over $28,000 towards the adoptions costs. We are now in the FINAL STAGE and only need $10,000 for the final costs! This includes court fees, U.S. immigration fees, flights to Bulga, and flights home to the U.S. as a family of 3!

If the Lord leads you to be a part of helping us get our son home from Africa, then follow the links to make a donation.

We’re “all-in” to bring Evans home. It’s game time. “Jesus” on 3. “One” – “two” – …

In Christ,
Jeremy & Kat Willet
