“A Father to the fatherless”: Ethiopia Adoption Update

grunge background3

We believe that with this morning’s news, God is saying “I AM The Father to the fatherless”, so we rest in that. All praise to Jesus, even through the times we don’t understand. We are saddened to say that the judge did not issue us a court date. The court re-open date is October 7th so our court date will be 1-2 weeks after that. We believe God is still good and faithful, we are just disappointed… but don’t have sympathy for us…feel the burden of the 153 million orphans that exist in our world today, and the unjust systems that cripple those trying to care for them. Don’t let situations like this keep you from being involved in orphan care, in fact, get MORE involved. Fight for justice. Speak up for the voiceless. Sponsor. Foster. Adopt. Advocate. Support community development and family structures. Work to alleviate poverty. Feed the hungry. Clothe the naked. Visit the imprisoned. Heal the sick.

“Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute.” (Psalm 82:3)

Thank you to everyone who has been standing by us through this process. We are supposed to receive an updated picture of our little girl today from Ethiopia and we look forward to meeting her in the next 2-3 months.

For the least of these,

Jeremy & Kat Willet

  1. I’m really sorry to hear this. :-(. We’ve been praying for you and your baby girl. It’s very hard to understand why you’ve had so many hurdles with your two babies. Continued thoughts and prayers.

Hope to see you soon! Love, Allison, Matt and cece

  2. God holds you all in the palm of His mighty Hand, in this you are all united. It will all happen in His time. Hold your little girl in your heart while you hold Evans in your arms. So much end of summer and early Autumn to enjoy with him. Praying for you all, especially for your little girl, and for God’s Peace in your hearts.

  3. God’s timing is just that – His! We are to remember the victories in time of feeling discouraged and defeated! Take a long inventory of the unsurmountable victories to bringing your son home and fill your hearts even further with the hope this brings. John 16:33 says there will be tribulation but be of good cheer, Jesus overcame whe world! Now about some time to stop by maybe so I can pick your brains and talk with Kat about our ministries!!!!!!! 🙂
