WE ARE MOVING TO THE CENTER FOR GLOBAL OUTREACH IN FORT MYERS, FL…. NEXT WEEK!
The last 72 hours of our lives have been a complete whirlwind, but something that God has had complete control over.
FRIDAY: Adoption agency called to say that our Ethiopia adoption is moving forward and we will most likely travel at the end of February / beginning of March! (Jeremy will be going to Ethiopia for a few days for court, and then back to the states for tours). With this news, we began to share with the agency about our desire to move to Florida to live on-site where our missions organization is at some point in 2015. They responded saying that is fine, however, once we come home with our daughter, we can’t move residence within a year because of attachment issues, therefore, they asked us to consider moving BEFORE the adoption is finalized. We knew this was only possible if God aligned EVERY part of this plan.
SATURDAY: Kat encourages me to reach out to our friend who plans to get married later this year to see if he has any interest in the house we own in Maryland. Long story short, he had been praying for a house locally to move into very soon, and agrees to start renting, with option to buy starting MARCH 1ST!
SUNDAY: Our missions-organization shares that there is only ONE house available, but it is for a family of 4 and is ready to move into next MONDAY!
So, we are now packing up our house and plan to leave for Fort Myers next Monday, 2/16. The reason we have to move so quickly is because once we get to Florida, we have to move in, complete a full home-study and fire-inspection for our adoption, and then wait for the Ethiopia court date.
On Wednesday (tomorrow) 2/11, we will be doing a big packing day from 9am-9pm. If you’d like to swing by to help, or even just to say hello, feel free to stop by anytime.
Our new mailing address in Florida will be:
New Mission Systems International
Attn: Jeremy & Kat Willet
2701 Cleveland Ave
Fort Myers FL 33901
This move will allow us to work even closer with our missions organization on community transformation amongst unreached people groups, speak for ChildFund & Food for the Hungry on Tours, travel on short-term assignment to the field, and continue leading worship with Willet. This move also allows us to cut our support-raising housing expenses in half! Praise God!
We will STILL be doing our 1 Year Missionary Report on 3/15 at Grace Fellowship Chapel in Westminster, MD and would love to see you there.
For the least of these,
Jeremy, Kat, Evans, and daughter-on-the-way…
